Rosa’s appreciation and respect for nature can be attributed to her upbringing in Aotearoa (NZ), where custodianship of the landscape is a part of everyday life. This percolated into her practice during university, where she graduated in Interior Architecture and was nationally recognised for her dissertation, further fuelling her passion for writing, and leading her to pursue a career in design strategy.
Prior to joining the team at Oliver Heath Design Rosa was working as a visiting lecturer, assisting in the delivery of a Materials and Technology module. Ensuring students felt connected and autonomous in their material exploration, resulting in the creation of thought-provoking and environmentally sensitive artefacts.
Rosa specialises in design and material strategy, researching, writing, and using a variety of communication methods to understand the relationship between nature and the built environment. As a keen investigator, she employs a range of resources to explore a subject matter and inform content - never expecting to get the full picture from the click of a mouse.
She has worked with a range of clients including Accor, John Lewis Partnership, and Interface. Rosa also co-curated Bio-Spaces: Regenerative, Resilient Futures at Roca London, and you can find her writing in 'The House of Green' published by Gestalten.
In her spare time, Rosa enjoys exploring forgotten pathways across the UK identifying and cataloguing trees, flora, and fauna along the way.
